Energy Bites

I used to make snacks like these all the time until I realised was intolerant to all nuts and seeds. That said, just because I have to avoid them doesn't mean you have to. I will eventually, limit the number of recipes that contain nuts and seeds as not every one can stomach them.

This recipe is taken from a magazine called Naturally Healthy News.

Makes 15-20 bite sized snacking balls.

1 cup medjool dates, pitted
3/4 cup almonds
3/4 cup walnuts
2 TBSP ground flaxseeds
1 TBSP coconut oil
1 TBSP hemp protein powder (you can also use golden pea)
1 TBSP raw cacao powder

Place almonds, flaxseeds and walnuts into a food processor and blitz until you have a nice crumble like texture.
Ad remaining ingredients, then process until the mixture forms a sticky dough.
Use your hands to break off small pieces and roll into balls.
Store in an air tight glass container in the fridge.

Super simple.

Tips: Cover with melted chocolate, desiccated coconut, matcha powder or cocoa powder.
